Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our scalable web applications. In this role, you will own features end-to-end—from building intuitive, high-performance user interfaces in React to architecting robust, secure backend services in Node.js and optimizing complex data structures in PostgreSQL.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive technical decisions, champion clean code practices, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

💻 Frontend Development

• Modern UI Architecture: Design and build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js and TypeScript.

• State Management & Optimization: Implement efficient state management (Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand) and optimize frontend performance for maximum speed and scalability.

• Component Libraries: Create and maintain reusable component libraries to ensure visual and functional consistency across projects.

⚙️ Backend & API Design

• Scalable Microservices: Architect, develop, and deploy secure backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Node.js (Express.js or NestJS).

• Business Logic & Automation: Write clean, asynchronous, and well-documented server-side logic to handle complex business workflows and third-party integrations (Payment Gateways, SMS/Email, etc.).

• Security & Auth: Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT, Session-based).

🗄️ Database Management

• Schema Design: Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas in PostgreSQL.

• Query Optimization: Write efficient SQL queries, manage indexing strategies, and perform query optimization using EXPLAIN to minimize database latency.

• Migrations: Handle database migrations smoothly without causing downtime in production environments.

🚀 DevOps & Team Leadership

• Code Quality: Establish code guidelines, conduct rigorous peer code reviews, and promote Test-Driven Development (TDD) using tools like Jest or Mocha.

• CI/CD & Deployment: Collaborate with DevOps to manage containerized applications using Docker and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.) for cloud deployment (AWS/DigitalOcean).

• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior/mid-level full-stack developers, helping them unblock technical challenges.

Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.

• Frontend: Expert-level proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern build tools (Vite, Webpack).

• Backend: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and server-side frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, or Next.js).

• Database: Extensive experience with PostgreSQL (complex joins, indexing, query optimization, and schema isolation).

• Version Control: Advanced knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and repository management.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with caching layers like Redis or message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka.

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS S3, EC2, RDS).

• Familiarity with real-time communication via WebSockets.
